Ive gotten my permit like a month ago and my dad had asked me if I wanna go practice driving in a parking lot but he never wakes me up. So today I had asked him when he will be home so we could go and he said its too early for me to learn. Is that fair?? What was the whole point of me getting the permit in the first place?? Someone explain to me why his being like this or should I get someone else to teach me??

They're scared you'll crash the family car. Ask Dad to buy you a few driving lessons with a professional trainer,then,when he can see you driving well he'll want you to drive his car whenever you all go out. |

That isn't your dad's responsibility to wake you up. What you need to do is talk to your dad and ask him when he is available. make sure that your schedule isn't full, and when both of you aren't busy then you should be able to begin practicing. It is your responsibility to make time, not your Father's sole responsibility. It is your license. Both of you should make time, but you have to do your part as well too. Just ask him to clear his schedule and you clear yours. |
