Here's my situation: I have a driving permit, so I drive around with friends and family a lot, and have become pretty good at it. However, I have taken several driving tests for my license in the past, and have always failed. The problem, I think, is that I am naturally a nervous and anxious person. When I get into the car with the instructor my heart begins race and I start to sweat, and eventually I make the one error that fails me. I'm a safe, effective driver and I know if not for this excessive uneasiness that I would have had my license long ago. Does anyone have any advice regarding how to calm myself down for these types of tests?

take some Bach flower remedy. Sound like a load of c**p but trust me we tried it and it works.
My daughter had a fall whilst riding her horse and it really knocked her confidence. As a last resort (I was having to ride her horse for her she wouldn't get on him) I bought some of this stuff on the advice of a friend and it calmed her nerves and she overcame her fears!
Much to my relief as I am not a competent horsewoman!
Try it a few drops on your tongue before you go for your test, it is worth a try! Good Luck! |

definitely Just take your time! slow and steady.
cuz im sure the instructor doesn't want to be killed.
You will automatically fail if you hit the curb. so TAKE YOUR TIME
Chck your mirrors before and after every intersection.
Check Blind spots. Signal. Yield for a pedestrian! Even a Jay-Walker!!!

You're leaving it a little late for advice! Must have some confidence there already.
First things first, make sure you have had correct advice from a professional instructor able to provide you with critical advice and instruction (don't rely on friends or family unless they are professionally trained to instruct).
Remember the 6 "P" rule; Proper Planning Prevents Pi$$ Poor Performance". Go to your test ready and mentally equipped.
As for remaining calm, just recall how confident you feel with friends/family and go out there and enjoy the ride!
