it's not in the manual because a GPS does not exist that can do that.

The GPS cannot tell you when a car is coming.It only shows the routes. You have to pay attention to the cars.The GPS cannot tell you how to drive,either.

When they make a GPS unit that can spot other traffic before you do, then it will be safe to go back on the road, otherwise stay off it. GPS can only show the route, not where all the other cars are, that's your responsibility as the driver. Did they not tell you that?

Always, always remember: "You're supposed to be in control of your vehicle, and use due diligence at all times" - regardless of a GPS. It just shows you your (typed-in) route, area speed, and recalculates, not traffic conditions.

The GPS tells you the directions to get to your location, it's your responsibility to make sure you are clear to turn. After all it's GPS not radar.

You still need to obey all posted traffic regulations and defensive driving techniques.

This actually raises an interesting point:

When a store sells a GPS to someone who obviously should not drive, is the store liable for the resulting accident? In this example, can the SUV driver sue the store and the car driver, or only the car driver?

To answer the original questions:
It tells you which way to go, and where, not at what time. When it says to turn left, that means to turn left at that intersection, when it is safe to turn left there. GPS's do not know if there are other cars. It was not defective.

This would be a lot funnier if it was asked about turning on to a road that didn't exist and caused a crash, or turning on a road too narrow and scratched your car and you wanted to sue. As it stands this is just stupid and a poor attempt at trolling.
