I just locked up the car and rolled up the windows......?

for my mom. and i noticed that there was this little red light blinking that said, THEFT. uhh what is this? does it always says this? im pretty sure im not stealing the car..

The light that you saw is an anti-theft light. Basically the car that your mother drives has an anti-theft system. What that means is that the car is installed with a system that will alert the owner of a vehicle break in. The light is there to let you know that the car has been activated with this feature. It is activated once you have fully locked the car.
