LOL... How do you feel now!!!! You silly man, everyone knows that White Transits are the fastest things on the road, it doesn't matter how fast you are travelling on the motorway, there is always one right on your tail flashing you to get out of the way! |

Yep, I have a Nissan 350Z and i got wooped by a banged up, rusty white Astra, crammed with pre pubescent boys, asking if i'd like to be shown a good time........!?
Very annoying!!
It only ever happens when you want to prove a point!!
But no big deal. x x x
You probably made that van drivers week, so feel good about yourself. x x x |

You some sort of nut ?? whilst all this road rage going on
what if you hit some unfortunate child, adult, or in my case
Grandparents....in their car, on a motorway.... I think
you should apologise for the upset you have caused in
posting this question to many like myself... |

The transit is geared low, for carring weight, no load then it will shift like sh1t of a shovel. especilly if its a 2.5 turbo.
Low top speed but it will get there quickly
Remember the old Vauxhall astramax diesel vans, they could out accellerate a VW Golf GTi |

there is a ford transit van that has been fitted with a 1990 F1 benneton engine. I have seen it racing around silverstone
I would suggest this F1 engined transit van is the one that beat you out of the lights ;-) |

Didn't you know? White vans are the fastest things in the world!
Thrust SST was just a transit in a ball gown!
Concord was a transit with wings.........etc
all this and space for a chest of drawers in the back too! |

if it was the 135bhp t350 with the six speed gearbox then it really still should'nt have beat you !! |

The XK8s a great looking car.
Your always going to get a slight delay from a standing start with an auto box.
Keep your foot on the brake and keep your revs up.
Then foot off brake and floor it when lights change.
That said you shouldn't have to do this against a tranny. All I can think is the Jags no lightweight and the tranny must have been empty. |

Gearbox and superior driving.

Dump the Jag and get a good car that beats everything from the lights changing. I drive a Skoda Fabia 1.4 Diesel Turbo and I have yet be be beaten. |

I DRIVE A CLK MERC 320 CONVERT AND TRIED TO KEEP UP WITH A KA ON AN UNKNOWN (TO ME) 'A' ROAD, BUT MY PASSENGERS TOLD ME TO DROP BACK ALTHOUGH I THINK THE KA WAS WINNING. |
