call the police and ask them to come and enforce the speed limit. when that doesn't work go to city hall and make a complaint. if that doesn't work go to the media with the records that you've done everything else. shouldn't be too hard to convince the town to set up a stop sign or something to make people slow down. |

I had the same exact problem in my neighborhood. A bunch of neighbors all got together to form a 'NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH' group. The entire neighborhood had volunteers patrolling the area at different times of the day and the night. Also, it helped to have 2 sherrifs living in the neighborhood, even though they were retired. See what you can do to spike some interest in a Watch Group---they work wonders, promise!! Good luck!! |

ask the cops to set a one day speed trap there. they have things that moniter peoples speeds, then take pics of the licenceplate and send them tickets in the mail. see if they will/can do that. This is your safety we are talking about. do this especailly if there are anykids in the neiborhood |

Being a pest is sometimes the only thing you can do. Pass flyers to neighbours, petition depends how involved you wish to be. the more support mixed with being a squeeky wheel has proven results many times.News papers write the editors, some radio stations are into community helping.
You could suggest allowing use of your property for the cars radar guns. Get others to also do this. I found the police begin when they know people are solid on doing something about a siduation. I hope this helps. |

Maybe you could petition to have a red light put in at the bottom of the hill.... |

Request speed bumps or roundabouts or some other kind of traffic slowing device. I realise this can take a long time, but there's no harm in trying. In the mean time, if you see someone driving dangerously, take down rego plate numbers etc - see if the police are able to do anything about this if you keep a record! |

That's because they're assh*les.
I would suggest asking the department of transportation in your area to post signs, or put some up yourself. I really can't believe the police won't do anything, though. That's awful. Try talking to someone higher up. The mayor? There's got to be something you can do, before someone gets hurt. Write some stern letters to some important people. They shouldn't wait until someone is killed to do something. Good luck. |

I would write a letter to the editior of your local newspaper about it (perhaps exactly what you have just written). Journalism is what puts a check on lawmakers and lawbreakers.
I have seen things such as you describe happen in many areas, some people simply have no regard for the laws - and don't even THINK about why those laws were made in the first place. |

Actuallay I don't have any Idea about Law. So I'm putting this query here.
My house is located at the second Last of the lane, A person who has a plot at the end, it's a dead end of the road. this dead end of the road is sold out to him by authority.
there is another house in front of my house. Actually Owner of the house that has a dead end of the road want to built a ramp over the road between My house and in front of my house. I would like to know that such type of the map can be passed through Authority or it's a illegal. Kindly let me know if anyone has any idea of it. |
