I live on a road with alot of deer I need something on my truck to scare them away?

I can't recommend any web sites, but if you type in "train horns for your car or truck" you will find horns that will scare anything in your path for miles away. I watched a segment on the news on how people were putting these train horns on their cars, recording them scaring the pants off of people. It was quite funny; however I don't recommend doing what they were. Maybe every couple miles or so, blast your horn and after a few weeks the deer might stop hanging around. Proceed with caution if you try this. Please if you see safer ideas ignore this one.

Concerning those little whistles that scare deer -- forget it. I have been working insurance claims for over twenty years and I can't tell you how many photos I have taken of smashed-up vehicles that hit deer with those whistles still attached to the bumper. They don't work. Never, ever.

They manufacture regular and electronic deer whistles; you can do a search on google for that.....a country boy told me the best thing was the loud exhaust system on his truck. It scared them off
Otherwise, you have to drive slower and scan ditch to ditch and use high beam on your headlights whenever you can.

You can get one of the high pitched deer whistles. They haven't been scientifically proven, but they have shown some potential. However, they are pretty expensive. The best thing you can do is just drive defensively.

put a real scary picture on your front bumper. by the way the whistles don't work. do some research and you'll see for yourself.

Tie a dead one to the bonnet, that should do the trick.

Why do you live on the road? Sorry! There is a product that attaches to the front of your vehicle that, in easy terms, whistles a high pitch when you drive. This high pitch scares deer away. It works. I used to live in northern Idaho, in a house, not on the road(again, sorry. I can't help myself) where there are a lot of deer, and they scatter when they hear the high pitch whenever I drove down the road.

they make these little whistles, they look like small megaphones. they whistle when you drive, it is suppose to scare the deer away. i use them.

nothing to do but drive slower and keep awake...Iv seen deer crossing signs but the deer still cross wherever they want.
