A Ringling man has died from injuries he sustained in an Oct. 11 accident near Healdton.
The state medical examiner’s office said Brock B. Nell, 26, died shortly after 4 a.m. Friday at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Nell had been injured in a single vehicle crash about 9 p.m. Oct. 11 on a county road three miles south Healdton when the brakes on his 2002 Chevrolet pickup locked for an unknown reason, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The truck went into a broadslide and then rolled while going through a fence. Nell, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown about 18 feet from the truck as a result of the crash.
He was air lifted from the scene to the Oklahoma City medical facility where he was admitted with head and internal injuries.
Nell was alone in his pickup at the time of the accident.

Ardmore, OK — A mother and her daughter were injured early Friday in a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 7 two miles east of Davis.
Rafaela Ruiz, 36, Davis, was taken to Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur and later transferred to Norman Regional Hospital where she was admitted in serious condition with head injuries, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
Ruiz’s daughter, 5-year-old Julie Rios, was also taken to the Sulphur medical facility and then transferred to Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she was admitted in serious condition with head injuries.
Ruiz had been southbound on a county road in a 2000 Pontiac. She failed to yield from a stop sign and pulled on to the highway and into the path of a westbound 2005 Volvo truck, driven by Michael Saindon, 44, Prague. Saindon was not injured in the crash.
Ruiz and her daughter were not buckled up at the time of the crash, troopers reported. Saindon was wearing a seatbelt.
