I have not recieved a ticket since 2001, and I have have never got one in GA. I have lived in GA for the past three years. The ticket is 55 dollars and carries 3 points. I plan to go to court. I don't have any points on my record and it is clean. Should I go to the one-day traffic school now or wait until I go to court to see if this is an option. Also, what do you think my chances of getting probation before judgement may be, if i don't go take driving class, since I don't have anything on my record? Thanks.

Not even worth throwing in there. Not relevant.
What matters, and what you did not provide, was whether or not you actually committed the improper lane change.
Since you're talking about classes to get it removed, I'll assume you did.
Call the clerk of the court (number should be on the ticket) and ask if there's a plead guilty option. Usually there is, and allows you to take a class to get it removed. |
