Yeah, there are kits out there. Typically then run about $300, plus you have to install them. Installation isn't that bad, anyone who is handy with tools can easily figure it out.
As a lower cost option, my son's driver's ed class had a few of them available for renting for like $50 / mo. I don't know where you are from, but that may be an option in your area as well. |

You should take him to a mall parking lot. Driver education is the best idea and you save on insurance if the mail box is not on his record. |

How do you run over a mail box. If he's that bad stop now,we don't need any more poor drivers on the road. |

Yes, do a google search for: automobile dual controls brake.
No offense but it sounds like your son does not have a natural talent for driving and should be taught by a certified instructor. If it's driver's ed you can possibly get a deduction on insurance premiums too. |

I was a driver instructor. I just sold my driver training car last year. I had the mechanic put all the brake, steering wheel, gas pedal and rear view mirror on the passenger side for over $1000 CAD. Ask a driver training school in your area where they had their training vehicles done. |

Pull the handbrake and crash it out of gear.
That's what my dad did for me, and i never hit anything with him in the car. |

When I learned to drive, the car had a break pedal AND steering wheel on the passenger side. Tell your son to be more careful, and take him to a parking lot rather than a neighborhood. I suspect it could be expensive to reconfigure your car to have break pedals on both sides (more so than fixing your bumper and mail box). |
