just as I got on I wanted to keep moving to the middle lane ,I had ton of space to merge. This lady in a LITTLE toyota sped up as I was merging ,she had to stop short to avoid hitting me(I sure's hell wasn't stopping) and she had the nerve to give me a go to hell look. I drive a huge Tahoe so nasty damage to her car was going to be the result. My question if you SEE someone merging especially in a large truck ,why must you challenge it? thats sooooo dumb.

I also frogot to mention that I didn't even respond in an unfriendly way I just looked at her then looked away ,and thanx for the answers guys rock on !!

It's the responsibility of both the driver already on the roadway, and the driver merging to accommodate one another in order to "MERGE" (come together, join)......if the person MERGING has a YIELD sign, then that person would have to slow down and yield to the other driver who is already on the highway.
Every once in a while, a driver behaves in a very authoritative manner, almost to chastise the driver trying to merge. It has happened to me too. All we can do as drivers, is sigh, and fit in. Try to be the bigger person (not the size of your S.U.V.)..... |

Sounds like you don't know what YIELD means,The Lady in the Toyota has the right of way no matter what size car you have. |

mayb shes pmsing. and i kno too well theres stupid drivers out there. the other day wen i was in the car wwith my frend there was too many stupid drivers to count. merging wrong waiting for all cars in a 20mile radius to pass before turning slamming the brakes in front of u for no reason. i woulda showed her the texas state bird if u kno wat i mean |

Idiot drivers are everywhere, including the ones who insist on merging over to the left for no reason except to be over in the left. To avoid problems like the one with this stupid lady, put your directional signals on for a RIGHT turn, then move left. That will temporarily catch her off balance so she will not think to speed up so you can't move left. You have to use deception and deceit when driving to avoid having other drivers using your own moves against you. |

I don't know about that -but you people in your SUVs are seeing your last days -I hope (anyone) who owns one go bankrupt filling it up. You should be thanking god for those of us in smaller cars -as we're not polluting the oxygen you breathe as you are everyday..! |
