Shouldn't you be asking how to treat the "injury" first? Not just after some free cash are you?

Why not be happy you weren't killed and accept that accidents happen !

Why go for compenstaion ? why promote litigation culture !! ??

Nothing, if you had correctly adjusted your headrest it wouldn't have happened.

Whiplash compensation is one of those scams that it putting up the price of everyone's insurance.

If you have suffered a real loss, ie loss of earnings due to injury which can be certified and proved to relate to someone's fault, you may get back some of what you lost, no more.

Lawyers will get most of the money.

It depends on the severity of the injury. Were you admitted to hospital? Did you miss any work? Did you need months of physio? Is the injury affecting how you go about your daily life?
Unless you can answer these satisfactorily, and back up your responses with documentation, then you are unlikely to be entitled to anything.

I would just happy your here to ask this silly question and not worry about compensation .. every case is different and no one can answer that except a lawyer ..I hope you were wearing a seat belt .. if not ,and if it is law in your place of residence or where the accident occurred you may not get anything .except a fine , and if you were then you might not have gotten whiplash ..

theres loads of things a solicitor will look into but i was in a crash as a front seat passenger 2yrs ago and got approximately £2350.

Depends on how greedy an ambulance chaser, I mean lawyer, you get.

happy
an amount equivalent to the loss you have suffered ie what you have spent and is irrecoverable on doctors, physio etc and loss of earnings if it has prevented you from working.

my sisster got 5 grand but that was years ago go and see a solicitor

nina
it depends on whether you went to the hospital right after the accident and it was documented.

it also depends on the stink you make about it, and how the incident has affected your ability to be optimal at work, and how much "pain and suffering" you went through

Kelly
ask a solicitor.

Caveman's daughter
My daughter recently received £2000 for whiplash.

It depends if you are a good actress or not !!
they also want hospital record's, and they take into account lost pay due to being unable to work.

around £2000.

That's what my mate got, hers was genuine.

The first 1/2 hour is usually free, ask.

That will depend upon your actual financial losses. Your hospital bills and any lost wages are a given. Beyond that, damages for "pain and suffering" may be in order IF you suffered significant injury. Typical offers run from 1/2 of actual damages to maybe 3 tmes actual damages unless there was significant injury involved. Beyond that will probably have to go to court and you can expect that to be drawn out for several years in most cases.

You may want to contact the insurance agency and find out what the compensation is. Most insurance policy have 50,000 for injury in accidents. you will want to talk with the drive of the car you where riding in and get the insurance information from him as well as the information from the other car involved. You where a by stander in the car so who ever was at fault in the accident is the agency you will need to contact to get compensation. If none want to pay then you will need to file legal action.
