I was just in a car accident a little while ago (2 hours, maybe?) There were three cars involved, and here's what happened: I stopped at a red light. there were a few cars in front of me. I was stopped for about 5 seconds and then BAM! a car behind me crashed into my car, which caused my car to collide with the car in front of me. I hit my head, pretty hard, cause I remember I had blurred vision for a few seconds, and the back of my head hurt really bad. I'm a girl, so of course, I was hysterical and shaking violently because I was nervous. I also felt very nauseous and lightheaded/dizzy, as though I was about to through up. Cops came and everything, and got info, etc. I just want to know if this is serious and if I should be checked out by a doctor. My back or neck isn't sore, but my parents told me to stay aware of any pain I may be feeling. What do you guys think?

There is no doubt you should visit a doctor. Sometimes you can't feel anything because of the initial shock. But, the problem may appear later. Plus, a visit to a doctor will be necessary for your claim against the insurance company of the guilty driver. If they find anything wrong with you a settlement maybe quite large. In other words, you can receive a lot of money if you had even a small injury. |

If you feel like something is wrong with you, have a real doctor take a look at you. Me or anybody here won't be able to tell what the problem is. |

I would get checked out. You could have whip lash injuries or be in shock. |

Yes, get checked out by a doctor for 2 reasons
Mainly 1./ For your own safety, yes it might take a short while but it's a small amount of time to ensure your safety. You may not have any obvious injury but your brain may have been damaged in many ways especially from shaking and internally hitting the jagged areas of the skull especially at the front.
2./ Ok this seems cynical right now but ... to backup your compensation claim later ... it wasn't your fault ... you should be compensated
