I will try to explain it in detail. I moved to a new address. So the new address was posted on the back of my license. And my old address is on the front my license. The police officer got confused and he wrote only the numbers of my current address and the street name of my old address. Is it still considered a mistake since I don’t live on the address that he wrote

That is a bit of a stretch to try and get out of a ticket, and it isn't going to work, sorry. |

Sure its a mistake, however, your DL# is all that matters. Best thing to so is have it corrected and pay the fine. |

It dose not matter if he put the wrong address because he can ammend the ticket when he gets back to the station It is still a valid ticket so you need to show up to court or pay the ticket |

Nope. My son's license had his old address on it (he tried living with his Dad for 5 months and also changed his license to that address) He has gotten two tickets since he moved back with me and they definately are valid tickets. Your license number is what will nail you, they (police and court) won't care about an error in your address. Take care of it, before they put a bench warrant out for you. |

doesn't matter. You need to contact the court and rectify the situation or it could turn into a FTA, which is very bad. |

Your name is still in the computer and a warrant will be issued if you don't pay the ticket or appear in court. That argument has never worked. |

the ticket will stand up in court should it go that far ,even id he did make a mistake on it ,its the offense part of it that counts,and a judge wont dismiss it because of that, but id get it taken care of,if not they will issue a warrant for your arrest because of it,,good luck i hope this help,s. |

I'd believe the people with the copper avatars, but just a note, in canada at least, if the officer spells your name wrong you do not have to pay the ticket. (A little known fact). |
