Of course you can sue. He doesn't even have to hit you for you to sue.
You don't need a lawyer. You just go to city hall, file your suit and pay the fee. You can also subpoena the bus driver to appear in court. Now you have to prove your case, and show damages (in dollars).
If your lawsuit was frivolous, you might be sued back by the defendant, or even by the city (a simple lawsuit can cost the city $500 easily). |

Chances are that you can sue for emotional distress and damage to the car. That driver needs to be punished because of negligent driving. Does it have to take getting hurt before they are cited? Your involvement can save a life. |

Probably not if you didn't get hurt. You could file a complaint about the driver, though, and I'd consider doing that. |

If he drove off, how do u know who it is? I would say you are the type who wants something for nothing. But you could tell your insurance agent you got hurt and see what happens. |
