A Gatso can only take the picture from behind so the markings on the road will be after the camera.
A Truvelo can take head on images, therefore the road markings will be in front of it. |

No i made a camera flash the other side of the road, so i asked a police man Yellow gatso cannot by law take a picture of you face, only cameras that can do that are the camera with a red circle in them,
Anyway i know for a fact you cannot be done for speeding for setting a speed camera off on the otherside of the road because i have done meny time since and alot of people i know aswell have done the same thing... |

You can't be flashed by any camera if you don't speed - no matter where you are on the road!
So don't speed and you won't have anything to worry about. |

If there are markings in the gutter on your side of the road, and the camera is facing you as you pass these marks, then the camera can measure your speed and photograph your numberplate even if it is on the other side of the road.
Some cameras don't have a visible flash. |

No because they need the road making to work. They only work on the side of the road that the camera is on. |

You can be flashed,but it won't take a picture. The sensor has a wide enough range that it can detect if you're speeding. However, if you are on the other side of the road, the camera isn't pointing at you, so it cannot take a picture. It will flash you, which acts as a warning, but you will not get a ticket through the post as no picture was taken.

you have to look at the road markings that are used to measure how fast your going if on both sides off the road and level with each other then yes cuz they have the lines to see how fast you were going. if they are staggered then no cuz they have to spin the camera round to catch the other side of the road |

The speed cameras are sound activated, so if you're going the other way too fast they will flash bit won't photograph you. |
