NO, none of the automakers will guarantee that the airbags work 100% of the time. Also there are factors that affect wether or not they deploy, they have smart airbags now that won't go off if your not wearing a seat belt or if your seat is adjusted too far ahead, also your vehicle must be completely stopped by the impact, if you hit a deer at 70mph, your airbags will not deploy because it did not stop your vehicle. Airbags can kill you if you get to close to them, they have very powerful explosives in them, at the proper distance they will restain your head and upper body so you don't get wip-lash. |

Yes it should deploy, all these answers are probably from people who haven't even been in a crash. 5 weeks ago i was doing a right turn and someone went through a red light and crashed into the left front passenger side of my car and my air bag deployed from my steering wheel which is on the right even though i was hit from the left and the other driver was going at a speed between 55/60 mph, obviously it was a hard enough impact for the air bags to deploy. if your unsure if their liable or not ask a solicitor about it |

it all depends, what direction you had impact, there are impact sensors that detect impact, they are generally in the front, if you had a frontal impact bags should have deployed. i worked for a dealer, and a customer came in with the same problem, but the car wasn't equipped with airbags |

yes it is liable for a law suite as your car should deploy the airbags at a speed over 15 mph if not the pressure meter on the bumper must be faulty. |

I would think so. At that speed, it should deploy. |

If they were factory installed possibly but if this car had a prior accident prior to you owning it the repairs were flawed by workmanship or a cheap replacement. |

if you slammed your breaks before you hit. yes
it also depends where you hit |

no there not the air bags are not 100% garanted to work. it depends where you were hit if in the rear end thay will not deploy. if you hit it on one of the coners it will deploy and in front impacts it will also deploy. if you hit the sensors. |

Are bags are operated by deceleration forces, not the speed of impact. If the collision didn't induce high g loadings on the vehicle, the airbags will not deploy.
In short, no claim.
To the misinformed, airbags can deploy at 3mph or 130mph. Likewise, they may deploy at 5mph but not at 50mph. Speed is irrelevant to their operation, it's inertia which activates the firing charges. |
