For clarification, the person sitting in the front seat next to the learner driver is NOT a passenger but a supervisor and must be capable of retaining control at all times during the lesson.

The only passengers that are recommended for rear seat positions are test inspectors and assessors.

Taking your mates and family out for a drive is not always covered on your insurance policy so please check first.

When learning to drive you must not drive on a public highway without another driver.

The accompanying driver must have held, and still hold, a full license for a period of three years in the relevant category of vehicle and be over 21 years of age.

As long as one of the passengers (the one who is sat in the front with you) has been driving with a FULL Licence for 3 YEARS and is over 21.
