Nope... Onstar cannot track your vehicle if its stolen if you have decided to drop your service...
Once the service is deactivated, you need to press the BLUE onstar button in the vehicle to reactivate your service, you cannot call to have it reactivated, because you need the signal from your system to do that..
Just pay for it... Its only $199 a year, plus, it might drop your insurance rates ;)
PS:::: UCANTSEEME is wrong.. you have to reactivate onstar by pressing the blue onstar button.. So if the theif is dumb enough to press the button, then yes, onstar CAN track the vehicle, pending he also provides a credit card number.
If you could reactivate AFTER the vehicle was stolen, onstar wouldnt have ANY business what-so-ever...
After you crash your car, can you call and get insurance? nope.. same deal |
