Hi, it can be done but is very unlikely as they are focused on the traffic on their side and ony tend to react if the car is speeding at a good 10-20mph over the limit. If you have been caught on camera I would be amazed if you got fined as you said you were only doing 2mph over the limit. |

If your going against the lane with the camera? I would say NO, but usually the opposite lane will have a camera as well.
I advise learning their locations and going atleast 2-5 under the speed limit. Oh and don't even bother going through a yellow light.

If you mean by 'the other side', the opposite direction, then it is unlikely but not definate.
A Gatso camera, the most common, can only photograph you from behind.
A Truvelo, the one with the magenta filter, can take 'head on' images.
In any case you are unlikely to be done for 2 mph over as they allow at least 10% for error rate. |

it will only catch the rear of your car going away from the camera - it can't get the front of your car as you go towards it. But if you think the camera is only looking down one lane, you might be fooled. The cameras are wide angled so they can catch you in any lane - as long as you're moving away from the cam - not towards it |
