Normally its 6 points in the first 2 years before a compulsary ban but you didn't say what speed in what zone? This makes a big difference but as a rule of thumbs 30mph over the limit and you can kiss your licence goodbye.

not in the uk, its not a probation period. but you are limited to 2 tickets in the first 2 years....once more at 33 MPH and you'll be a bus passenger for the next 2 years, though lesson eh ?

however, you might as well hand it in because you'll be stuffed with insurance in year 2.

And remember it is now law to tell your insurance company as soon as you get a ticket, if you don't you are not insured...and that would be grounds for a ban.

So, ring them now, have your credit card handy, they'll put your premium up for the remainder of the year.

new laws mean that your first offence will be a fixed penalty 3 points and a 60 pound fine 2 offence disqualified and made to retake your test .your 1st offence depends on the speed iff in a built up area and twice the limit its a ban on the motorway over 100 most cases 3 month ban

not automatically, but twice in 1st year it will

Really depends on how fast you were going! If you were stupid amount over the limit, they will have you anyway! 6 points in the first 2 years will see you with a ban! Sorry.

no it should not be but it might depend on how strict your state is but even in CA they will not take it for the first one. Just go to traffic school so you dont get the points

If you get 6 points within 2 years of passing then you have to re-sit the test.

In your 1st 2 years of driving having passed the standard DVLA driving test if you gain 6 penalty points your driving licence will be revoked, you will then revert to a provisional licence holder again, after a period of disqualification (if awarded) you will then have to go through the entire process again to get a full licence, which will still show 6 points !

Speed camera tickets give you 2 options depending on the speed you activated it at, up to a certain threshold you will be sent a notice of prosection and given the option to plead guilty by post, you will get 3 points, £60 fine and usually about £30 court costs, if you are so far over the speed limit you will not have this option, or you plead not guilty, you will receive a court summons for Magistrates Court, they will look at the evidence and either find you not guilty (which is very unlikley in speed camera prosecutions) of find the case proved. The minimum penalties for speeding are 3 points & £60, you could get more points, a higher fine of banned.

I know its a longs answer, but I hope it clarifies your question

No you have to have 12 points on your licence before that happens

No it's 6 points in 2 years then it can be taken

no you will get 3 points and a fine. if you get 6points in your first 2years it gets taken off you. after 2years i think you can get upto 12 points. look on the dvla website for more info
