Im taking driving lessons and i can't turn the car left- help!?

i had a 2 hour lesson today and my instructor wanted to teach me to turn left and right but i didn't even get on to turning right because i couldn't even turn left properly. i got on to going up to 3rd gear and changing down to 2nd just before turning. i found it difficult to keep turning the wheel as well as maintaining speed.

for my next two hours i have to perfect the left turn, if i ever get there, and then start right turns. Im really dreading it because im feeling really down and feel like im not gonna be able to do it. :(

Ok something my instructor used to teach me was the 'push an pull' method for steering, for turning left, left hand high on the wheel right hand for right turns etc.
Pull down with your left while your right hand should be at the bottom of the wheel which you use to push up - sorry if this isn't making much sense, very difficult to explain without showing you!
As for maintaining speed - go as slow as you like at first - you are learning others will expect you to be doing things at a slower rate. With time this will all come.
DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP ABOUT IT!
God I had terrible lessons at times - one time i tried turning in 3rd gear far too fast an mounted the curb - actually drove in it for a while too LOL

Well the first issue I see is that you lack confidence. There is nothing wrong with feeling this way when you are first driving. It is completely natural. The second thing which I see is that you are admitting you need help and that you have a problem. That is good that you are facing the fact that you need to get over your fears. Now the third thing that you need to do is finally, face your fear head on, and get over it. The only way you will do that is to practice. If you keep doing something over and over again, enough times you will get the hang of it. Don't worry about being a slow starter, or the fact that you may have made mistakes. All new drivers go through this. The point here is, you will reach your goal, but only if you want to. If you want to be a complete driver you must pay attention, and give this some time. You can't expect to be perfect or a complete driver right away. It takes practice. Your so young, don't give up. You can make the left turn, and I believe you will. Just keep practicing. Also, a helpful tip is to practice in vacant lots. Have a parent go over left turns with you. I remember how it was driving with an instructor. I was nervous too, so maybe you are just nervous about it all. Even so, practice until you accomplish your goal. You can do it.

Practice, practice, practice. I wouldn't expect it to take that long, but keep at it, you'll get it.
