Improper turn from approved turning course?

Few days ago I was pulled over. I was give a ticket for "improper turn from approved turning course". When I looked it up on the net it looks that it carries a 3 point penalty. My question:
Can I defend the charge on my own? (There was no clear signs that said right turn not allowed)
If I plea guilty, how much more Insurance would I pay (I have Gieco)?.
Should I hire a lawyer, how much do they usually charge? Thanks

Just pay that ticxket will not affect your insurance. The only way tickets affect your insurance if you get points then it will get in your record.
