Is a jeep a safe care for a 16 year old driver?

My boyfriends parents think its ok and I was wondering how dangerous they are.

Jeeps have a short wheel base and sit high from the road and that makes them prong to rollovers when cornering. When I was in the army we had safety courses on jeeps. They are fun to drive, just don't forget what you are driving.

Poor handling, rough riding, heavy, long braking distance. prone to tipping. Plus they get poor gas mileage.
A 16 year old has little to no driving skills and experience. Calling someone responsible just because they get good grades in school and does not get into trouble has nothing to do with the skills needed to operate a vehicle safely and skillfully on the road. People need to understand driving is not a skill you are born with. It is a learned skill. I have been driving and riding a long time and I never stop learning.
Very few drivers understand the concept of driving defensively.
No to the jeep for a beginning driver.

if u were the seat belt can be almost 100% safe for you at least but big cars are usually more hard to drive than a normal car so you as a newbie would put other people in danger cause in case of an accident you would certainly kill the person on impact if he has a small car and you are driving just around 30 miles;) so you might wanna consider this before having someone on your conscious.

Is he a responsible kid? They aren't the safest things for 1st-time drivers, especially Jeep Wranglers, but if he's responsible go for it

If it has roll bars, I would think so. I bought one for my son when he was a teenager.
