as long as you have a tv licence for it and you do not watch it when you are driving i think it must be behind the driver

hi they are legal but for obvious reasons you cant watch it when your driving If the police can prove you were watching it you would get done for drving without due care and attention which is normally a 3 - 6 points

if you are in the back seat yes if it is in the front it better be on the passengers side

probly is certain cases, example it's not legal for the driver to watch the t.v. or have in his view while driving.
always ask local law enforcement before any custom installs and save a headache.

It is legal provided that either:
It cannot be seen from the driver's seat
or
It is wired such that it cannot operate when the engine is running.

As long as the driver can't see it when the vehicle is moving it's OK.

Its not illegal as long as the driver can not see the screen whilst the vehicle is moving. If it is seen it comes under the driving with out due care sec 3 Road Traffic Act 1988 (c. 52)

Yes when they are fitted in the head rests for the passenger in the back seats to watch .
