I think I would keep a child that is younger than 13 in the backseat. ESPECIALLY if you have airbags. Those things come out at 240mph!!!

In Kansas it's 12, and that is because of the passenger air bag. They can ride in the front seat of a truck, but the air bag has to be turned off.

In Michigan you can ride in the front seat when your 12.

It's just recommened, my sister is only 13 and she always rides in the front seat, of course she's tall and well developed, so actually she looks older than she really is. But I think it's not a law.

For me in NJ it says 12 and under

Here in SC the child has to be 12 before they can ride up front. 4"9" and under they need to be in a safety seat of some kind (ex. booster seat). I would recommend having them ride in the back. I was just recently in a 3 car accident where someone ran into me and pushed me into another car. The car I hit thankfully didn't have anyone in the paasenger seat but the airbag blew out the passenger window and spiderwebbed the windshield. Imagine if there had been a child there instead of an empty seat.
