a parking lot is private property, so I wouldn't think so.
A sun is usually too bright to sit too close to though. Maybe you should teach your son instead. :) |

I think so, because the sheer brilliance of his photosphere burning hydrogen into helium, in an intense nuclear furnace, would likely evaporate anyone within several thousand miles.

You can teach him anything you want, as long as it doesn't involve nudity...Or in this case, him being at the wheel mixed in with the general public, a parking lot is good.
(preferable after hours) or a long straight dirt road.

Yes it is against the law to allow any child under the legal age of driving a motor vehicle behind the wheel. Wait till he's of age before you teach him. They grow up fast enough as it is |

yes. it's against the law to put a 13 year old behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. that doesn't stop people from doing it, though. I wouldn't suggest a parking lot, though, unless it's completely empty. my stepdad used to let me drive out on country roads in the middle of nowhere on early Sunday mornings when I was 14, so I was prepared for Driver's Ed. |

You have to be careful abut the location you use. In many states, private property that is used by the general public (such as shopping center parking lots) are subject to the same rules and regulations as the public streets. Check with your local authorities.
If it is truly private property, and you either own the property, or have permission of the owner, there is no problem. |

no not at all my 10 year old son drives his dad's truck all the time cause we have our own business so he's learning anyway not like were letting him just drive all the time u know |

Its best to check with your local municipality. Driving on your own private property is legal, but public parking lots might be a problem with the local authorities. Personally, I commend you for teaching your son to drive at an early age, as I believe it will make him a better driver. I had a provisional farm license (dawn to dusk) at age 14, and in 40+ years of driving, I have never had one accident or traffic violation. |

No if on ur own property and ur with him and if it a goat cart at first then to a small size vehicle then i would agree help ur son learn so he is smart, just lock up he then think to show how cool he is to his friends |

Why at 13 ? He cant drive for at least 2 yrs. Most states demand drivers ed.now. my bro. in law had to take drivers ed.& he is 32. |

to MY knowledge it is against the law for anyone with out a lic. to drive on any PUBLIC roads. As far as you doing the teaching no it is not. |
