I am do for both and was planning on getting them done very close together, and maybe even on the same day.

Unless the alignment is free with the tires, it doesn't matter, tires do not affect the alignment. |

Call around first. Some places, with the bad economy, will give you a free alignment with the purchase of a complete set. You could also make a deal that if it won't be free, there will be a heavy discount. Make sure that free rotation and re-balancing comes with it for several thousand miles too.
