There isn't a fire risk for jack stands but it is an eye sore - Maybe it's that she doesn't want that car out there on them, or for long...Maybe you put it in a bad location when you put the jacks up. I seriously doubt there is a "fire hazard" to using the jacks~ that is ridiculous! |

It is not any more of a fire risk on jack stands than on the ground.
However:
1. It is a safety risk, because it could fall.
2. The only reason to have it on stands is if you are repairing it, which could be a fire risk. |

Ask land lord to define the fire risk.
Perhaps you were changing the oil and filter. Never seen a fire break out during an oil change during my 30 plus years of auto maintenance.
Perhaps a brake job. No fire risk there. Perhaps rotating the tires. Again no fire risk.
So in a nice, firm voice, ask land lord to define the fire risk you were making while maintaining your car. Ask her to cite the law, ordinance or statute you were in violation of.
On your part, do a good job of clean up when your work is complete.
This world will be a lot better with less bullies and people that abuse what ever power they have or think they have.
