Yep! make you wonder how people have passed their test, if they have. There should be tests to make sure people know that its law to give way to the RIGHT on a roundabout and who has the right of way. I have driven for 22 years, the past 20 in London and boy has it got bad. |

No its not your imagination, i work for mercedes benz and cover on average 32,000 miles a year and i have noticed how the standards of driving have really deteriated recently im not sure what the answer is but its like everything in british life going down the pan quickly |

No,it`s not your imagination. It`s just not fun driving on the tarmac roads these days, too many "loons" about, who should never have passed their driving test. Not that that would stop them, witness how many unlicensed drivers there are now. |

No, it isn't your imagination!
It really is stressful, I've only been driving for just under a year, stressed out already! Don't get me wrong I'm not (yet!) the worlds best driver but I certainly aren't anywhere near the worst. What is it with people cutting you up then beeping?!?!?!
Also, can't stand middle lane hoggers especially when I have to go faster just to overtake them, when they are plodding along going 50mph in the middle lane, I think it is people like that that causes crashes and jams. |

Honestly, it is stressful driving anywhere. Roads are congested, people are in a big horry, people drive unsafe and recklessly. It is very stressful. |

My God....its scary! I live in Cyprus, and there just isn't half as much traffic as the U.K. I was visiting relatives there recently, and I was really stressed out on the roads! Here is just occasionally gets stressful when you get stuck behind a farm tractor, crawling along doing about 10k......but then the sunshine makes up for all that!!! |

I think driving is quite a stressful activity anyway but I think the more you stress about it the worse it seems!! I always try to relax when I drive whilst still keeping my concentration. I recently drove in Canada and that was pretty stressful too but mainly because I didn't know where I was going!!!
The roads in Britain probably are safer than they have been in the past but I think that certain drivers attitudes need to undergo a major change before the number of deaths and accidents on the roads can be reduced further! |
