Sure it's legal. The brakes still work, don't they? The fact that the light is on is a problem for you? Those lights come on all the time, it's probably just a wheel sensor going bad or a faulty connection somewhere.
Check the brake fluid, look at the system, you can probably fix it yourself.

WELL IF THE DEAL IS AS IS YES WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON IT MEANS YOU HAVE BRAKES, BUT THE ANILOCK PORTION OF THE SYSTEM IS INOPERABLE, THEY SHOULD FIX IT AND ITS A SIGN THAT THE VEHICLE MIGHT HAVE BEEN IN WRECK AND THE BODY SHOP DID NOT KNOW HOW TO RESET IT, LOOK AT A DIFFERENT DEALER'S FOR A CAR, BRAKES ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ON ANY VEHICLE, FACT. |

they can sale cars any way they want. the abs light stays on then i would asume that it is due to the computer connected with it check brakes if bad replace them and the rear ones are usually good but may need ajusted and your light should go out. |

i honestly don't know. i do know that i disconnected my ABS on purpose, and my car works fine..... |

If it is a used car and no warranty from the manufacturer, yes, because it is sold "AS IS", unless you negotiate the repair in the sellers contract. |

It is legal if the sale is "As Is." If the dealer is offering additional warranties and this is occuring than the dealer might be guilty of false advertising.
For any used car - get a Carfax report. |

If it's a used car and it says AS IS, they probably can. If you are interested in buying the car, you can tell them it has to be looked into and fixed prior to you paying anything! |
