Is it legal in Iowa to let my 5-year-old ride with me in the front seat of a pickup truck?

I will use a booster seat. I know many of you will advise me to not do this...but I just want to know what the law in Iowa says.

if he rides in a car seat yes if he is over 5yrs of age and weight is above 60 pounds can ride in seat belt in most states ..but you can look it up Iowa seat belt law or child restraints

it says right on the visor in every car that children under 12 years old are not allowed to sit in the front seat. However, in a truck, if there is no other seat in the truck, and the airbag is able to be turned off, then yes, it is okay for the 5 year old to be in the front seat.

If your truck has an extended cab with seating behind the driver and passenger, then the child must be in the back seat.
