Is it legal (is it ok) for a driver to have his right blinker on and drive straight through an intersection?

more specifically, is it legal for someone to have their right blinker on for more than 100 feet (while driving in the farthest right lane) and continue to go straight through an intersection with the right blinker still on (not making a right turn at all)?? wouldn't this cause confusion for other drivers and possibly an accident? Because i saw a driver do this before. isnt there some kind of rule for that? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

There are times when a driver may not realize that the turn signal is on...some cars don't make the tick tick sound very loud and if the radio is on it makes it even harder to hear...if the blinker is on just be careful because you can't always be sure that they are going to turn...your supposed to be driving defensively anyways

I mean its not illegal. Stuff like this happens all the time. People just forget they have it on and it just stays on until they realize it. But a person can't get in trouble for it, i mean your not going to get pulled over or ticketed for it.

Yeh its illegal and its bloody annoying!!! But people rarely get fined for it unless it causes an accident. Im in Australia so Im not sure about other countries
