It's quite safe, really. Propane cars are built with safety in mind and with strict regulations on the list including safety, emissions, and more.
Yes, propane is a compressed gas that burns hot and readily explodes in air. But this cannot happen if preventive measures are followed, e.g proper maintenance, careful refuelling, driving safely, etc. Gasoline is dangerous (burns quickly, explodes, causes cancer, is prone to leaks, has a strong odor, etc) and we use it day in and day out. Of course, we're careful when we use it, so as to prevent accidents.
In short, propane cars are actually quite safe. It's good because it puts out fewer emissions, too. ^^ |
