Is it ok to drive with no shoes on?

I was told that its important to wear sneakers and boots when driving a car. i think the point was to take you where you need to go. i also wear no shoes and if feels good as well. i like to keep extra shoes in the car. just in case, like slippers. LOL

ive always driven with my shoes off. i find it really uncomfortable to drive with my shoes on..I just feel more comfortable with no shoes. I feel like i got more control of the car. you know?

I sometimes drive without any shoes when I know that I'm not going to get out of the car until I go back home. Like when I picked up my brother from school or dropping off the mail. I think it's fine to not wear shoes, but if you do plan on walking then just bring the pair and put them on when your about to get out.

It's okay for a car, as long as your feet can reach the pedals they need to reach.

Don't do it on a motorcycle. The street can be gritty.

i actually think its safer because you can physically feel the peddle, whereas if you were wearing a shoe with a thick sole you might not be able to tell how hard you are pushing the peddle.

i always take my shoes off to drive.

Its legal most places. There is the concern of an accident though. If you have to get out and don't have time (or think of it) to get your shoes, you may be walking through glass or other dangerous things barefoot.

Perfectly ok to do that...and yes it is quite fun to drive without shoes!!!

If you are comfortable doing it then do it. I personally feel more comfortable with shoes.

It is illegal in some states I think! But I do it all the time!! It is so much more comfortable!!

I was taught that it's not legal to drive barefoot. I don't know for sure, but I know it's fun to do!

I love taking my shoes off and driving--- but I think its against the law?! I dont know wear flip flops and if you get pulled put them on. just dont hang one foot out the window! ha.... later, allison

I drive without shoes often but I do not reccommed it. I also like the comfort and freedom but I think that something could puncture your foot of your foot may slide from being wet or bare butif your car is clean and you don't have sweety feet then sure just don't let the cops catch you

Yes it is absoultely OK to drive with no shoes on. I am sure you are a very good and safe driver so have fun on the roads!

why touch the dirty pedals with your feet, just use your shoes or store an extra pair of shoes in your car

i would so no it is not safe to drive without your shoes on your toes could get stuck on the excelarator. and you could cause an accident

i used to till someone said wot if you crashed couldnt reach your shoes and had to get out with glass every where?end of no shoes
