hi hapa,
If you're in the UK it's possible and depends on the exact location - obviously if it were in a hazardous place then it wouldn't be possible.
It doesn't cost anything and takes an average of 12 wks. Your first approach should be to the council. Check through their website.
HOWEVER:
a) it is not YOUR space a such
b) It is not illegal for anyone else to park there unlike blue badge spaces on a high street. The markings are ADVISORY markings - but most comply.

Yes you can, my mother has one and I believe it is free, just contact your local council and they should sort it out for you.

Yes, I've seen it done. Contact your local council.

in england you contact your social services dept. it takes ages to get one outside your home. it also depends on how long your dla entitlement is.

In England, you can have a bay put in if there is room for one, and you need one, and almost always you must be a Blue Badge holder to qualify.

BUT - you will probably have to pay for it, somewhere around £50-60 in my town and *the line is not enforceable*, that means if someone else parks obstructing it or completely in the bay, a parking attendant can not book them for it. It is more a request that others don't park there then a rule that they don't.

Yes it is, talk to the local RMV and the town fathers.

Hi, There are quite a few on the main road that runs through the village that i live in, i would contact your local council to see, because it depends on what the road is like in front of your home,

it is possible and arrangements can be made through the local council, l think there may be limitations to having the bay directly outside your house, IE proximity to road junctions, bus stops etc, the local council will be able to tell you the costs and waiting periods etc.

yes, contact city hall, or local concil's office and they can give you all the info.

It is possible. If you live in the UK you need to contact your local council offices and they will give you information.

That pretty much depends on where you live... and the need for one... contact your city or county mayor... they would be able to help you... sometimes its even free with the right person on your side.

Not here in NYC. So that depends on where you live.

Good Luck...
