There already is one available. It fits over your ear like a hearing aid and can detect when you head tips forward, like your head does if you were to fall asleep sitting up. Of course, it will also go off if you were just looking down to dig change out of the console, so you have to remember that you have it on. |

All the ideas people have listed here, the sensors will go off just because you tilt your head to look down at the radio. And the heartbeat sensor. What if your heartrate never drops below the point at which the alarm goes off? Best thing to do, if you feel tired, pull over and get some sleep. |

I guess it's possible, but don't want to have fault positives. It'll be neat if there was such a device. It'll be like an alarm clock to wake up if about to fall asleep behind the wheel. |

I do believe that it is possible. To have a heart rate or muscle relaxing monitor inside the seatbelt .Yes but they do not want to try that.I know exactly what these car companies are thinking today,"hey lets make a car good on gas with a premium sound system and heated cup holders."............................lol... know it is kinda true huh. |

Of course, those things have been around since before I was born...actually, I think they have been around since before my great great great great grandfather. To make it even better, there are several available, the first product offered out there that comes to mind is heavy eyelids. Another that comes to mind is when your mouth opens uncontrollably several times...called a yawn. |

I think I've heard of something like that in a Cadillac, but it's a sensor in the dash that tracks your eyes and head movement. |

well it couldn't be in the seat belt because it would go off everytime you just moved around enough which would be to annoying, it would have to be some kind of sensor to monitor your heart beat or something like that, maybe in the steering wheel |
