All parking brakes operate on the rear wheels. From a safety mandate, they must. Therefore, simply hooking to the rear allows a tow. Now, if you put the parking brake on and cut the steering wheel hard to one side, it makes it much harder. |

No. ANY car can get towed, even the ones with the front wheels turned to one side. They can place a dolly under the front OR rear wheels, if needed. |

Hah! If the rear wheels don't turn on a front wheel drive car, one of two things happens. Either your rear brakes fail and the car tows fine, or, they put it on a dolly. If it is a rear wheel drive car, they are lifting the rear end anyway, so it doesn't matter. If you have done something to deserve towing, you will be towed unless you park in wet cement up to the axles. |

If they can "wench" a wrecked car onto a flatbed, they can certainly "wench" one with the parking brake on or the wheels turned...
