Is my car dangerous with rusty jacking point?

I'd be more worried about the jack going through the car if the jack point is rusted out. If that happens the car will fall down "onto" the jack and if any part of you is under the car like when changing a tire etc., you might be injured. Plus it can be real pain in the rear to get a car off the ground if the car falls off the jack when you have a wheel off of it.

Like others have said, a good bodyshop can weld a structural metal plate over where the rusty jack point is located and you should be OK to jack the car up in the future without worry.

As far as driveability concerns go regarding the chassis, I wouldn't worry too much about rust in just the jack point, especially if the car has been jacked up a lot in the past (which it sounds like it has by the bending you describe). If the entire chassis appears severely rusted though, I'd probably be a little more worried that something might break. (Keep in mind that a little surface rust on the bottom of most older cars is fairly normal - especially if they're driven in climates where salt is used in winters).

It is bent up to secure the jack, making it harder for it to slip, rust is common. You need to worry when you see what I call rot. Rot is when you see a noticeable amount of rust pits and can see through the metal because of the holes.

if its where you say it is this will fail the mot because its within 30 cm of a structural point but may not be serious to cause an immediate problem

Its not entirely dangerous, no, although if it big and effects the structure of the car, yes, i cant tell you without looking at it.
you are bound to find out at the next MOT though, until then i think your fine.

It could be a warning to other damage that you cannot see. You could be in danger if the car fell off the jack while you were working near it. Have a good body shop have a look at it and they will tell cost of making good the Jack point and if there is any underlying problems on the rest of the car.

just get it welded for the next mot...its not as though the car will snap in half!....it will be ok for now.

Yes its dangerous and you need to have a body shop take a look at it because it could turn into a bigger job later.....rust is never good.
