Is there such a thing as a hands free car kit which reads out text messages?

I am looking with some sort of bluetooth device which will read out my text messages and let me answer my calls in the car hands free. I am aware that some GPS devices can do this but I cannot afford one.

Bluetooth is just a comunication interface for transfering what's going on in the phone to another device.

But there IS a phone that reads sms, Nokia 5500, it can be also added to Nokia N82 via third party application (see the link below).

Then, if implemented correctly, bluetooth would transfer what a phone says ....

it will be cheaper and more informative for you to pull over somewhere safe and stop, read/reply to the message and then carry on with your journey.

some of my friends like to use txtspk, and i have enough trouble deciphering their messages myself, never mind asking some device to try and read them aloud!
