I see plenty of no answers,, but I know of no law that says it is illegal. Since everyone say no.. I would like to know the law that say you can't.

The answer to this question is no. Very simply, the cargo area of a box truck is not considered a passenger compartment and so therefore you can't have passengers riding there.
Specifically, there are laws (each State will be different) that stipulate that there must be a permanent seat fixture with seatbelts for every passenger in a motor vehicle. Also (just on a common sense note), there's no ventilation back there - why would you want to sit there? |
