Both situations should be illegal. I agree with you about people with cellphones being more dangerous on the road though-they're also the same annoying people who don't turn them off when they go into movie theaters. |

In theory, I actually agree with you. However, getting behind the wheel with any alcohol in your system is a potentially very hazardous situation. The real solution here is to ban cell phones while driving (as they have in some states and countries). |

THEY ARE NO WAY RELATED. THINKING ABOUT COMMITTING A CRIME IS THE THOUGH OF DOING SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE NOT ACTED ON. BEING ARRESTED FOR DUI IS A CRIME. I AGREE CELL PHONE SHOULD BE BAND FROM THE DRIVER OF ALL MOVING VEHICLES,IN EVERY STATE, IT'S VERY DANGEROUS. SO IS DRINKING AND DRIVING I SPEAK FROM EXPERENCE. No, dearheart...THINKING about things doesn't get you POTENTIALLY in the 'mode' to hurt someone. Not to where anyone can SEE it anyway. It all has to do with the act/behavior being premeditated or not. We all have CHOICES, and usually our "mistakes" are caused by our choices.
Like DUIs are caused by a CHOICE to drink...and if a cop arrests someone (gives someone a DUI ticket) because they are DRUNK and could potentially hurt someone (even themselves)... that peace officer is removing this person from the venue where you or I could be hurt or killed by them.
THINKING about something ...for GAWD'S SAKE in the first place...if we read everyone's MIND...WHAT A DARK, EVIL, SICK PLACE WE'D BE IN...
'ever see the movie "The Crow"....when his adversary came into his (Bruce Lee's) rhelm, the world turned dark; THAT's how it would be if everyone's mind could be read (seen). euuuuuuuuu (I don't ever want to live there)
In the second place, IN THE REAL WORLD....how is someone suppose to know what someone is thinking??? Even if a cop did that and claimed he had the power to...there'd be the Civil Liberties Union down on him so fast... (not to mention a few others!---you get the idea!) |
