Left turn yielding question?

Lets go say I want to take a left at a solid green light. The car perpendicular to me, also wants to take a left. Do I have to yield to the car perpendicular to me or can I take my left turn?
Additional Details
This is in the state of Ohio, just in case you need to know.

Unless I am misreading this, the car perpendicular to you should have a red light, hence no need to yield to it.
Edit:
Do you mean perpendicular or opposite? Again if you have a green light any car perpendicular to you should have a red light, so they can't make their turn anyway.
If you mean opposite, then if both cars can make their turns without colliding they should go ahead and do so. If they cannot, then usually the first car to arrive goes first. |

i've never seen a double left turn lane thats yield on green. i would say that when its clear you both could turn left |

Unless there is a sign that allows my lane to turn left, such as on a one-way street, I would either have to go straight or, if allowed, turn right. |

I think you mean Parralle too you, If Im in a two car lane in NY with both lanes offering a left turn to each, you have to follow around with the other car useing extreme caution doing so, sometimes an accident can accure if you sideswipe him in your left turn. |
