Carbon Monoxide is normally a result of a leak of some type of gas, like propane, etc... or very very poor ventillation. Cooking with no ventillation COULD cause it. I`d recommend opening all the windows, resetting the alarm and seeing if it changes. If not, the smart thing to do would be to shut off any gas lines, etc.. in the house and evacuate... |

Cooking will sometimes produce smoke that can set off fire alarms. However, carbon monoxide is another matter. Humans cannot see or smell carbon monoxide and nothing will seem wrong until they lose consciousness.
If she is using a gas stove to fry the fish, she should turn off the stove and have someone inspect it on Monday.
Household carbon monoxide detectors do not always work properly. Fire departments have better ones and can check the carbon monoxide levels in your home, even on Sunday. |
