Yes, you must drive at the maximum speed limit, only if weather and road conditions permit. As for some of the answers here. The national speed limit on a single carriageway is 60mph unless signposted, but the national speed limit on a dual carriageway is 70mph unless signposted. I had a pupil who's husband was teaching to drive and told her that she wasn't allowed to use the dual carriageway which meant she had to stick to town traffic. When I took her onto the dual carriageway she freaked telling me that I was wrong and that she wasn't allowed. She is now divorced from him, and is now a driving instructor herself. |

Its the same as when you pass your test. When you learn to drive you will drive at the correct speed limit for the road you are driving on. |

A learner driver can do the maximum speed limit indicated by signs (when safe to do so) - on any type of road ECXEPT Motorways. National speed limit on single a carriageway is 60mph and is 70mph on a dual carriageway....a learner can drive on a dual carriageway. So the answer to your question is 70mph. |

Your speed limit is exactly the same as every other driver on the road.
20mph in a 20mph limit.
30mph in a 30mph limit.
40mph in a 40mph limit.
50mph in a 50mph limit.
60mph in a 60mph limit.
70mph in a 70mph limit. |

It depends which part of the UK you are in.
In England, Scotland or Wales, the maximum for a learner is the same as for everyone else - i.e. the posted limit applied to a particular road.
In Northern Ireland the limits is the lower of the posted limit for the road or 45mph, and the 45mph restriction applies until one year after passing your test. |

In Northern Ireland the max is 45mph or under. |

70 miles per hour on a dual carriageway. Motorway driving is forbidden to a learner. A learner follows the same speed limits as qualified drivers subject to vehicle type and the limit prescribed in law. |

Speed limit – You must not drive faster than 80 km/h and must observe the speed limit where it is below 80 km/h.

It is the speed limit on the particular road that you are on. However they are not aloud on motorways which means the fastest they should travel is 60 mph been as no road thats not a motorway has a speed limit of 60mph. |

National speed limit which is 60MPH I do believe, but you aren't allowed on motorways. |

max speed limit for anyone is down to ability, not signs. walk before you can run same for driving. How would you feel if you killed a baby in a pram, yes there is a excitement about speed but that's why there is track day and it's cheap.
the key to being a great driver is: AWARENESS - PAYING ATTENTION - COURTESY- And let the other fool pass you now he can't hit you. enjoy driving but be careful an go with the flow. We motorists have killed more people in cars than any war. So we are a danger to ourselves. we need to be alert more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
take care and again enjoy!!!! |
