Motorway road charges?

Motorway road charges?

can someone tell me why Alistair, the Darling thinks that motorway congestion can be eased by charges.Try teaching the 80 per cent of idiot drivers to get into the correct lane having past 10 miles of lane closure signs they ignore and try force their way back in again when their lane actually closes,80 per cent of drivers on the roads could drive a nail into a peice of wood.teach them to drive first

Yes your spot on, the charges are just a con to get more money out of the motorist, I think if they want more money, and safer roads then why not retest people say every five years, i know it means the motorist paying out, but it could get cheaper car insurance instead to even things out

Those sort of drivers annoy me too. They do it, I guess, because they know they can get into the queue faster by staying in lane until the last minute. Not sure it is about 80% of drivers being planks...........more about 80% of then being inconsiderate of the other 20% sensible and considerate drivers.
Good news, Darling is now Secretary of State for Trade and Innovation.......maybe his successor will have different and/or better suggestions.

YES It is so annoying and don't get me started on middle lane hoggers undertaking and tailgaters!!

rick b
i agree

PAUL F
Because he can afford the charges whereas ordinary mortals will be forced onto the highly congested and much more dangerous back lanes just to get to work to pay the already high taxes so that he can get paid his exorbitant salary

Darling is stuffing the motorist yet again and brown has had another go today by yet again making fuel more expensive and therefore putting up transport charges and then food prices up again and what a big deal for pensioner yet again 3,6% and they want 15 times that for their own pay rise when are people going to say enough is enough
