and refuses to give me a ride and calls into my work FOR me before I even have a chance to find a way into work.
He is hoping that I will lose my job due to these absences.
I've tried a car alarm, but he is able to deactivate it. How else can I protect my car and have him stop calling into work for me??? - that is just outright embarrassing to begin with.

The solution is called "The Police Department." If he is not the owner of the car, then he has no legal right to dismantle anything. If he touches your car, have him arrested.
If you won't because you are afraid of losing him as a boyfriend, they you have BIGGER problems that can't be solved on Yahoo Answers.
Whether he is beating you, berating and belittleing you, or harassing you with his actions, he IS abusing you. Get legal help, and, if you won't, get medical help. |

Why do you put up with it. If he cared about you he would be pleased that you have such a great job that lets you earn a good wage instead of being so self centred and childish.
Lay down the law or tell him to take a ride in a car that does work...otherwise you will end up with with your boss having a very bad impression on your work ethic that it will carry on and on to whatever jobs you go to once your boyfriend has lost you this one.

First off this sounds ridiculous! Like really? Seems to me he is controlling, he should be happy that you have a good job and you are making more money. Tell your boss/manager that if he calls in for you; not to listen; only when YOU call in. Or set up a code/password with your work and only when it is used then you are really calling in or something? I don't know, I don't think any female deserves to be treated like this by there man. |

I am mostly going to echo the responses you have already read, leave him!
But I also want to say, that I have been there! And you need to ask yourself this, if you learn how to fix what he dismantles, what is his next step to controlling you? Will he physically restrain you? Most likely the answer is yes. If he is obsessive and controlling enough to prevent you from going to YOUR job, in YOUR car, then he will probably take it further if you find a way around him.
If he is only your boyfriend, then I would leave while you can. Don't end up married to this guy, because then he will really think he owns you. |

B - get a restraining order
C - if, after you are split, he damages your vehicle, have him arrested for vandalism.
That is what I would say if I believed the question was serious. However, reading the posts about stapling books, jealousy over intelligence, and padlocks on the fridge, I come to the conclusion that there are only 2 possibilities. Either all the questions are bogus, or you are both loons that have found perfect soulmates. |

Yes you should be embarrassed that you stay with him. This isn't a safety issue either. You should break up with him and if he follows you and tries to cost you your job get a restraining order. Until you break up with him though it's your own fault. |
