ok so she just got out of the hospital after being unconscious for six days.
she has a broken leg and a broken rib. she says shes ok but i know she is in a lot of pain. i want to take away that pain so much but i cant do anything. everytime she says ow i just want to beat myself up for letting this happen to her.
i feel like its my fault because we were suppost to go out to a movie but i cancled on her cause of a suddon soccer game so instead she decided to go with some girlfriends. then some jaskass goes through a red light and crashed in their car.
plz help me. i dont know what to do. i want to make her feel better but shes not up for anything. i suggested we watched a movie or i cooked her somthing but she refused everything.
and all of a sudden her three giant older brothers have gotten really protective- and i mean threaten me protective- what the **** is this suppost to mean "if you so much as make her cry from the pain we will beat the living **** out of you"
i mean im the one freaking out over my girlfriend that was almost killed 6 days ago
also if u were in her spot and your boyfriend showed up with flowers, pictures of previous dates, and dvds would it make you happier

i'm so sorry! i hope she feels lots better soon! but, it isn't your fault. just try to spend time with her, but if she wants time by herself to rest or whatever, let her take naps. she's probably really tired. But coming over with her favorite flowers (or roses!) and some good comedy's, romantic movies, whatever. Or the notebook, girls love that movie. it would be a very good movie to watch. You could pick a fav. picture from one of your dates and put it in a cute frame, or have a sister, aunt, mom, whatever (if they have time, and ask nice! :) ) if they want to help you decorate the frame or whatever, or you can make a small scrapbook. I bet she'd like that :) good luck and i hope she feels better soon and all goes well! |

Visit with the idea that you are showing support, not offering words of wisdom.
Don’t use any old sayings like “Tomorrow is another day”.
She will determine the content of the conversation. She probably has a “press release” about her accident and condition so you’ll hear that. From that point, she may want to chat about friends, your life, etc. Go with the flow of the conversation.
Be yourself and be natural. Don’t visit as though you are playing a role. She’ll be happy to see you, not some fake person.
She may not feel like visitors so if you get the feeling that she’s tired or doesn’t want visitors — politely leave and ask to come back another time. |
