Need help with a friend's chronic speeding and road rage?

I didn't know how to word the question, but here goes. My girlfriend's sister is an extremely aggressive driver (think full throttle or no throttle) regularly doing 40 in parking lots or up to 60 in residential streets. On the highways she tailgates, screams and flashes her lights. She won't listen to friends or family when they tell her to chill... She is 24 and has been driving like this for years. What can I do to help before she kills herself, or worse, someone else?

Seriously, there is nothing you can do that hasn't already been tried. Best you CAN do to protect yourself and your friends and family is NEVER to ride with this person and encourage others not to ride with her.
Perhaps, when she sees that no one will get in the car with her, she may get the message. No one WANTS to lose friends, but there are very FEW real friendships that are worth losing one's life over.
Help keep yourself and your friend safe. Let her, either get the message and change her behaviour, or let her go off and kill herself without taking a friend with her.
It may not be tomorrow, or in the next 24 years, but the longer she drives like that, the more likely it will happen. It's like pulling the trigger in Russian Roulette; every click on an empty barrel just brings the loaded chamber that much nearer. |

There is nothing you can do. She is immature, and eventually, if she lives long enough, she will grow up and realize how stupid all that aggressive driving is. I did. Guess I was lucky. |

If talking wont help and she is a friend then call the police on her and this will wake her up very quick.........sounds harsh but it sounds like just what she needs... |

All joking aside, I would talk to someone in authority.
Go to the local police, let them know what is going on, and maybe they will keep an eye out for her. It's a shame when you have to resort to this, but she'll be a lot safer locked up and thinking about it then out there putting everyone in danger.
In the meantime, encourage everyone to refuse to ride with her. |
