Ring your local council and they will advise you.Isnt it strange how you always see cars being ticketed and towed away and yet when theres one blocking your drive or something you just have to put up with it? |

Start off by contacting your local authority. They will have a mediation service for neighbourhood disputes.
You could take legal action, but these things are generally better resolved by discussion. |

if its in your deeds, get your solicitor to write them a letter |

Contact a lawyer about possible legal action, or maybe call the city about policies on junk cars being an eyesore and an obstruction. |

If the car is tecnically on 'joint' property, you are quite within your rights to ask them to move it. If they refuse or ignore your requests, you should repeat these requests in writing (keeping dated copies).
In the written request you should state a date by which you would like the vehicle removed (usually 30/60/90 days) and state that if they have either not responded to your request or removed the vehicle that you will have it removed and then reclaim any associated costs through legal means.
Once the stated date has arrived and they have not responded, then you can arrange to have the vehicle towed/removed and through the small claims court etc you can sue your neighbours to reclaim the cost.
Also your local council may remove said vehicle free of charge provided you have persued all means to advise your neighbours/request them to remove it.
Be aware however, you could be opening up a whole load or trouble with the neighbours if it goes that far. |

Is the parking area on your actuall property or is it still part of the public highway.
If it is the latter then he is breaking the law. Grass him up!!! |

From 2009 it will be illegal to have an uninsured car even if it is OFF the road. It is already illegal to have an untaxed car when it is off the road, unless it has been declared SORN to DVLA.
08000 325 202 is the DVLA tax cheat hotline number
Current rules on SORN: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/UntaxedVehicle/DG_4022058

When they go on holiday... smash the window, remove the hand-brake, push it onto road, then call dvla and police, report untaxed vehicle to DVLA and abandoned vehicle blocking highway to police. They will come with a top truck |

Call the police. In most areas you can not keep an un licensed and un insured vehicle on a public street or road. |

IF it really IS on your property and you have asked them repeatedly to move it, and you DONT want to cause problems........
Write them a simple little note..........make a copy of it, make SURE it is dated, post-dated from the post office, etc AND then go have both the envelpe AND the letter you wrote notarized ......costs about $3.00 or free from your local credit union...... or friend thats notary...
(very cheap)
THEN: Take it to the county attorney/ civil court, whichever is proper in your county.. its different for different counties, depending how large your town is!
Good LUCK!! |

If it on public roads, the police will crush it. If it is on council land they can tow it.
Or you could arrange for it to be "pimped" by "the big dawg". and then it will be roadworthy and your neighbour will be well impressed. |

Report them to the DVLA! it is illegal to have an untaxed car in a public place .It must be kept of the road (on a private drive) by law. |

Place a placard on the car announcing:
"Request to remove this wreck is pending with the owner Mr. ___ since ___." |

Go to your solicitor or citizens advice bureau and take the deeds to your house with you. I would only do that as a last resort after all possible efforts to get it moved by talking to the neighbour though.
Don't bother setting it on fire or keying it, that is how things get silly, they will do it to your car, then you house or worse. |

Big problem. If it's off road then the tax and insurance status will not be of interest to the authorities as long as a SORN has been sent. If it's in breach of the deeds then a letter to the freeholder if its a leasehold, the landlord if its rented, or direct to the neighbour via solicitors if its freehold might do the trick. However be wary of starting a war unless you are prepared to accept the consequences. |

A parking space is not made for long time parking this would be called storage space. If this is a shared space I'm assuming you get to occupy the space 50% of the time.If this is the case write your neighbour a polite letter on your conserns and try to come to a aggrement this way. If this cannot be resolved in a friendly or neighbourly mannor use other means. If this is a shared spot you pay taxes on that spot and they are taking advantage of you. |

write them a polite letter asking them once more to dispose of it

If it is untaxed it can not be on a public road - ring your local police station and they will take care of it. |
